At the Harmony Village Apartments in Peachtree City, AVP sponsors a Family Resource Center
for residents of the complex. The purpose of the Family Resource Center is to provide access to
technology for students to work on assignments, projects, research and to provide access to adults
for the purpose of developing resumes and surfing the Internet for employment and/or educational
opportunities.
The center has 8 computers equipped with DSL Internet access, the latest software, FREE e-mail
set-up and 4 printers.
AVP provides an On-duty Academic Support Coordinator who assists users with technical issues.
The Program Coordinator also works with residents, to identify program opportunities that would
help both adults and students in a variety of skill development areas and assists with planning and
scheduling events that serve to encourage community interaction.
The center is opened to middle, high school, and college students, as well as, adults/parents.
The hours of operation are Monday thru Friday – 6:30p-8:30p and Saturdays (as dictated by
scheduled events).
